Registration

Library cards are issued at the Library Circulation Desk.

In order to use other libraries within the Jagiellonian University, one must register separately with each particular library.

The students who have an electronic student identity card can use it as a library card after having it activated at the Circulation Desk.

Registering with the Jagiellonian Library includes:

  • a pledge of compliance with the rules of using the Library;
  • confirming the veracity of personal data with one's handwritten signature;
  • a permission for one's personal data to be processed for the purpose of using the Library.

In conformity to the requirements of the Act on the Protection of Personal Data, the patron records are registered with the office of the Inspector General of the Protection of Personal Data.

While registering/prolonging, please submit/update your current e-mail address. It is to be used for:

  • notifying that a reserved book has checked in;
  • reminding of a proximity of the due date for checked out books;
  • sending a prompt request for a checked out book to be returned.
